Kitchener Duckworth
Owner/Teacher

Kitchener, the owner of RKL Swims, is a highly qualified instructor with a Level 2 Certificate in Swimming Instruction and a background as a lifeguard. With three years of experience teaching swimming lessons and nearly five years working with children in outdoor activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding, Kitchener excels at creating engaging and safe learning environments. At RKL Swims, Kitchener is dedicated to helping every child develop their swimming abilities and foster a love for the water as he did from a very young age!

Tia Hardwidge
Teacher

Tia, one of our dedicated teachers at RKL Swims, holds a Level 2 Certificate in Swimming Instruction along with qualifications in newborn and disability swimming. With nearly 25 years of experience working with children and youth in schools, youth services, and various other settings, Tia brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to her lessons. She is a favourite among parents and children alike for her exceptional ability to help nervous children settle into their lessons. Tia’s extensive background ensures that every child, regardless of their abilities, receives personalised and supportive instruction to thrive in the water.

Ashleigh Davies
Teacher


Ashleigh, one of our skilled teachers at RKL Swims, holds a Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming as well as lifeguard qualifications. With over a year of experience working with children, Ashleigh brings a fresh and enthusiastic approach to her lessons. Her dedication and friendly manner help create a positive and engaging environment for all her students. Ashleigh’s commitment ensures that every child receives personalised attention and support, making their swimming journey enjoyable and rewarding.

Rosie-Lou Duckworth
Volunteer Teacher

 

Rosie-Lou, our enthusiastic team member at RKL Swims, may not have formal qualifications yet, but she brings a wealth of experience gained from working alongside our senior teachers. As the youngest member of our team, she is eager to learn and grow, aiming for her Level 2 Award in Teaching once she turns 16. Rosie-Lou's passion and energy help create a positive and engaging environment for all her students, ensuring they enjoy their swimming journey while receiving the support they need.
